About the position

The Chubb Associate, FP&A Analyst position is designed for entry-level candidates interested in financial planning and analysis within a leading global insurance company. This role involves assisting in the monthly and quarterly accounting close analysis, performing planning and forecasting activities, and preparing clear and concise financial reports for management. The position is part of the Chubb Associate Program, which focuses on developing critical business skills through hands-on assignments, technical training, and collaborative learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing accurate and timely financial analysis for informed business decisions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and YTD profit and loss reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Compile metrics and analysis on various portions of the P&L including Premium, Reinsurance, Commissions, and Expenses.
• Prepare monthly commentary on financial statements specific to the Business Unit, providing clear descriptions of significant events impacting results.
• Gather and prepare documentation to support unusual activity, trends, or occurrences and inform divisional personnel of findings.
• Follow up on issues until completion.
• Responsible for Expense Management and Reporting.
• Contribute to building the annual plan and quarterly forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business with an Accounting/Finance major or in a related field with a minor in Business.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize, plan, and implement work assignments under tight deadlines.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial analysis or related internships.
• Familiarity with insurance industry practices.
