About the position

The Chubb Associate, FP&A Analyst position is part of the Chubb Associate Program, designed for individuals interested in a career in finance within the insurance industry. This role focuses on financial planning and analysis, assisting in monthly and quarterly accounting close analysis, planning, forecasting, and preparing clear reporting for management. The program emphasizes skill development through hands-on assignments, technical training, and networking opportunities with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and YTD profit and loss reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Compile metrics and analysis on various portions of the P&L including Premium, Reinsurance, Commissions, and Expenses.
• Prepare monthly commentary on financial statements specific to the Business Unit, providing clear descriptions of significant events impacting results.
• Gather and prepare documentation to support unusual activity, trends, or occurrences and inform divisional personnel of findings.
• Responsible for Expense Management and Reporting.
• Key member of the team responsible for building the annual plan and quarterly forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business with an Accounting/Finance major or in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Software Engineering, or a related field with a minor in Business.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize, plan, and implement work assignments under tight deadlines.
• Solid problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
