Church Planter

About the position

New City Church (PCA) is seeking a Pastor who will boldly proclaim the Word of God, actively care for the congregation, and lead the church in its mission to reach the local community with the gospel of Jesus. The ideal candidate will have a missional heart, a commitment to training future leaders, and a passion for shepherding the flock. The church values solid Biblical teaching and desires a leader who can unify the congregation while fostering growth in love for God and service to His kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Proclaim the Word of God boldly.
• Care for the congregation and actively shepherd the flock.
• Train men to be elders and deacons.
• Lead and equip the congregation to pursue the church's mission.
• Develop a holistic mission and vision for the church.
• Exhibit visionary leadership during ideation and decision-making.
• Foster sympathy and empathy for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of the community.

Requirements

• MDiv (Master of Divinity)
• 3+ years of church ministry experience
• Experience in church planting preferred or openness to assessment through MNA
• Ordained or ordainable in the PCA
• Doctrinally sound in accordance with the Westminster Standards
• Experienced in the application of The Book of Church Order
• Approachable and caring personality
• Ability to communicate well with people of all ages and backgrounds
• Mission-oriented with a desire to spread the gospel locally and globally
• Proven servant leader with a heart for shepherding
