About the position

Parsons is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer/Developer to enhance our Systems Engineering team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service to clients while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevSecOps, automation, and cloud environments, contributing to the development and deployment of secure systems for government clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain operating system environments used by developers.
  • Automate security-relevant OS configurations and verification mechanisms.
  • Deploy applications into mixed platform environments including AWS and OpenStack.
  • Integrate cybersecurity tools for asset management and vulnerability assessments.
  • Support the development and deployment of cloud and on-premise environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of related experience in IT.
  • 5+ years of progressive DevSecOps experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant Windows and Linux experience.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, and Packer.
  • Proficient with Git and modern programming languages (Python, Groovy).
  • Experience with PowerShell and Unix shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with automation of security-relevant OS configurations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing hybrid cloud and container-based applications.
  • Familiarity with agile process tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of security and auditing cloud infrastructures.
