About the position

The Principal CICS Systems Programmer will provide infrastructure support leadership for the CICS Transaction Server and Data Replication support role. This senior-level position requires extensive technical experience in CICS Systems Programming, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining technical infrastructures while leading a team and collaborating with business partners to ensure the smooth operation of CICS transaction servers and data replication on z/OS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide infrastructure support leadership for the CICS Transaction Server and Data Replication support role.
• Design, implement, and maintain technical infrastructures for CICS transaction servers.
• Support provisioning and maintaining CICS transaction servers, VSAM data replication, and disaster recovery on z/OS platforms.
• Lead highly visible projects involving multiple groups and convey project status and technical solutions to leadership.
• Provide technical mentorship and advisement to team members and business partners.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CICS, Data Replication, and related products in the z/OS environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of technical leadership in CICS Systems support.
• Hands-on CICS Programming experience and knowledge at the Control Block Level.
• Proficiency with CICS system dumps and CICS System internal and interfaces.
• Expertise with z/OS, CICS, JCL, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, Control-M, CPSM, VSAM Replication, IPCS/Dump reading.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with assembler and COBOL.
• Knowledge of IPCS and SMP/E.
