About the position

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) position at a Critical Access Hospital in Eastern Oregon is a permanent, onsite role responsible for overseeing the hospital's information technology strategy and operations. The CIO will lead a team of IT professionals, ensuring the effective use of technology to support patient care and hospital operations. This role requires a strong background in IT management within an acute care setting, particularly with experience in EPIC systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hospital's IT strategy and operations.
• Lead and manage the IT department, including 4 direct reports.
• Ensure the effective implementation and use of technology in support of patient care.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
• Manage a team of 20-25 FTEs in the IT department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a CIO or Director of IT in a larger acute care hospital.
• Experience with EPIC systems is highly preferred.
