About the position

The Town of Marana is seeking a CIP Engineering Division Manager to oversee the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) operations. This full-time role involves managing day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and directly impacting the Town's capital improvement projects. The position requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as a commitment to the Town's cultural values of dedicated service, respect, teamwork, and engaged innovation.

Responsibilities

• Manage, assign, review, track, and evaluate the work and/or projects of division staff to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements.
• Manage and perform plan reviews and project design by coordinating with consultants.
• Review engineering plans and documents; prepare cost estimates and specifications.
• Coordinate reviews for plans and documents with town departments, utilities, external agencies, and public interest.
• Manage CIP Engineering Division by preparing operational budgets and supervising staff.
• Oversee the delivery of Capital Improvement Projects and project management.
• Oversee the ROW program.
• Perform utility coordination.
• Develop policies and manage planning, design, and construction of public projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering and project management.
• Three or more years of experience supervising technical staff.
• Current registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in Arizona.
• Valid AZ Driver License.
• Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.
