About the position

The Circulator TempForce RN position at Vanderbilt University Medical Center involves applying the nursing process to manage the care of complex patients. The role requires effective communication, conflict resolution skills, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care. This temporary position offers premium pay and the opportunity to float between units within the same hospital, working on 13-week assignments with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery while anticipating patient care needs.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions.
• Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment.
• Demonstrates effective patient education to peers and prepares individual teaching plans for patients and families.

Requirements

• Valid RN License
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years relevant Circulator experience
