The Cisco Data Center & Route Switch Field Service Technician position at Acuative is a full-time role that offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in Information Technology. Upon successful completion of these certifications, employees will receive a dollar per hour increase in their pay, reflecting Acuative's commitment to investing in their workforce. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing installation and maintenance services for voice and data networks, servers, computer systems, retail technology systems, and other network-based hardware. The role requires a willingness to travel, as technicians may be assigned to locations up to four hours away from their base. Acuative guarantees a minimum of forty hours of pay per week, even if technicians are not dispatched for the full forty hours. This ensures job security and stability for employees. The position also involves working independently, often in various customer environments, which may require the ability to lift up to fifty pounds and climb ladders. Technicians must be prepared for on-call duties, which may include after-hours and weekend work, to meet customer service level agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities

  • Provide installation and maintenance services for voice and data networks, servers, and computer systems.
  • Travel to various locations to meet customer service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work independently in different customer environments.
  • Lift and handle equipment weighing up to fifty pounds and climb ladders as necessary.
  • Complete detailed job documents and follow instructions accurately.
  • Participate in paid training programs to obtain Cisco certifications.
  • Be available for on-call duties, including after-hours and weekend work.

Requirements

  • Clear driver's license with no more than 4 points.
  • Covid-19 vaccination required.
  • Willingness to work mostly Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime and call-out pay after hours.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds above head and climb a ladder.
  • Working knowledge of networking hardware and topologies.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication cabling standards and ability to pull and terminate cabling.
  • Knowledge of computing systems hardware.
  • Experience with LEC circuit identification and extensions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).
  • Ability to follow detailed job documents.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Cisco networking products and interfacing through Cisco CLI.
