About the position

The Cisco Data Center & Route Switch Field Service Technician role is a full-time position focused on providing installation and maintenance services for voice and data networks, servers, and other network-based hardware. The position includes paid training for Cisco certifications, a company vehicle, and a guaranteed 40 hours of pay per week, even if not dispatched for the full duration. Technicians are expected to travel within their assigned region to meet customer service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

• Provide installation and maintenance services to voice and data networks, servers, and computer systems.
• Travel to various locations, potentially up to four hours away, to meet customer needs.
• Follow detailed job documents and ensure compliance with customer SLAs.
• Participate in paid training for Cisco certifications, including CCT Route Switch and CCT Data Center.
• Work independently and manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Clear driver's license with no more than 4 points.
• Covid-19 vaccination.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds above head and climb a ladder.
• Willingness to travel within assigned region.
• Technical knowledge of networking hardware and topologies.
• Familiarity with telecommunication cabling standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Cisco networking products and interfacing through Cisco CLI.
• Experience with LEC circuit identification and extensions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).
