About the position

The Cisco Network Engineer role is focused on managing internal and external business partner requests related to network connectivity. The position involves creating and executing network configurations to support these requests, requiring in-depth knowledge of Cisco products, WAN connectivity, and security. The role also encompasses operational aspects of infrastructure management, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and service level agreements while supporting data, voice, security, and contact center technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day partner requests related to network connectivity.
• Create network configurations to support business partner requests.
• Execute network changes to fulfill business partner requirements.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement complex hardware/software components and tools.
• Coordinate with users to determine network requirements.
• Review systems under development and related documentation.
• Make complex modifications to existing hardware/software to meet specialized needs.
• Maintain program libraries and technical documentation.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules and costs.
• Act as a mentor to less experienced associates.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Cisco products and WAN connectivity.
• Experience with Cisco Enterprise Route/Switch environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage internal and external business partner requests.
• Experience in infrastructure management in accordance with defined service level agreements.
