About the position

Our client, an IT Services organization supporting commercial and federal clients, is seeking a hands-on Cisco Network Engineer (CCNA level) to support an existing customer in the healthcare industry. The selected Network Engineer will report to the customer's network team and assist in managing their environment. This position is crucial for ensuring the stability and performance of the network infrastructure, which is vital for the healthcare operations of the client. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals to maintain and enhance the network environment. The initial contract is for 6-12 months with the potential to extend based on job performance and business needs. The selected Network Engineer will be required to work onsite Monday to Friday in Claremont, NH. This hands-on role involves providing L2/L3 support and helping the team manage their existing Cisco network, which includes approximately 25 switches and a virtual environment consisting of around 30 servers. The Network Engineer will be expected to troubleshoot network issues, implement solutions, and ensure that the network operates efficiently and securely. Additionally, the role may involve participating in network upgrades and enhancements as needed, ensuring that the network infrastructure meets the evolving needs of the healthcare client.
