About the position

The Cisco Product Line Program Manager (PLPM) is responsible for leading and managing product development programs across the Cisco portfolio. This role requires a strong background in program management and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on overseeing the full product lifecycle to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product line programs from inception to launch, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Coordinate with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of product development initiatives.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Cisco products, including roadmap planning, development, launch, and sustainment.
  • Gather and analyze customer requirements to guide product development and ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for program updates, risk management, and resolution of issues.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement strategies to optimize program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
  • Monitor program performance, generate reports, and present insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, focusing on process improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Expertise in Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC, 5S, SPC, Process Capabilities, Takt rate, OEE, and Kaizen events.
  • Proficiency in documenting and writing SOPs, Work Instructions, and training materials.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and root cause methodologies.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as SolidWorks, MS Project, Minitab, AutoCAD, Smartsheet, Outlook, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving significant cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Experience conducting time studies and implementing lean manufacturing techniques.
