About the position

The Cisco Sr. Sales Operations Manager is responsible for developing team members and enhancing Sales Operations processes within the Cisco Business Unit. This role focuses on streamlining order entry, rebate navigation, and buying processes while ensuring an optimal customer experience that aligns with the company's revenue generation and long-term business goals. The manager will lead teams of Sales Specialists and Order Entry Specialists, providing guidance and support for day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the work of assigned departmental staff and provide training and development to ensure professional and ethical order entry and procurement functions.
  • Recommend and implement changes in policy and procedures to meet continually varying requirements.
  • Manage and contribute to the preparation of departmental reports relative to costs, quality, quantity, value, trends, systems, and personnel.
  • Assist sales and order entry specialists with questions and day-to-day needs including problem solving and communicating new information to the team.
  • Oversee the quoting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with customer and Cisco pricing programs.
  • Manage the order entry team, ensuring orders are processed efficiently and in compliance with Cisco's requirements and distributor SLAs.
  • Lead the annuity and service renewal operations, ensuring timely and accurate management of renewals to drive recurring revenue.
  • Implement systems and processes to track and manage renewal opportunities, upsell potential, and minimize churn.
  • Analyze sales operations performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership.
  • Identify areas for automation and system enhancements to improve speed and accuracy in order processing.
  • Drive process improvement and operational excellence to support the Cisco business unit's sales targets and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance, Business Operations, Procurement, and IT to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide goals and give written and verbal direction to sales support staff.
  • Manage team to include time clock functions, PTO requests, hours worked, overtime.
  • Ensure daily focus on support and issue resolution through team huddles.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide training to new team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support of team members.
  • Communicate system and personnel resource needs to management.
  • Work with management and associates to balance short and long-term workload coverage, maximizing resource utilization.
  • Participate in manager and leadership trainings.
  • Interact with Sales Reps, Specialists, and Sales Managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years sales experience
  • Experience supervising, managing, or leading a team
  • Experience using Excel and other tools to analyze data and support business decisions
