About the position

The VP of Citi/American Airlines Acquisitions Partner Channel Marketing is responsible for establishing and managing new partner channels with American Airlines. This role involves driving the strategy and execution of marketing campaigns for Cobrand and Proprietary Cards, developing customer-facing assets, and enhancing the customer experience. The position also focuses on managing employee engagement and retention through referral programs, ensuring compliance with marketing processes, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Launch and establish new partner channels with American Airlines, including product strategy and customer experience design.
  • Maximize employee engagement and retention in the employee referral/incentive program through effective communication and resources.
  • Manage ongoing channel operations and future roadmap to meet aggressive business goals post-launch.
  • Collaborate with American Airlines and internal teams to ensure flawless execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee internal legal reviews and approvals for marketing initiatives.
  • Handle account and expense forecasting, reporting, and analysis for channel management.
  • Evaluate program performance to optimize strategies and improve customer experience.
  • Conduct monthly budget reconciliation and process marketing invoices for vendor execution.
  • Monitor competitive landscape in the cobrand airline market.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships within Citi and American AAdvantage for marketing initiatives.
  • Identify and implement sustainable solutions for escalated issues while managing risks.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in Financial Services Marketing preferred.
  • Advanced project management skills with exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong prioritization skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take over and manage ongoing programs effectively.
  • Analytical skills with a creative problem-solving approach and strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with a quick learning aptitude for new systems.
  • Personal accountability and decisiveness in a strong work ethic culture.
  • Experience in managing partner relationships and external vendors.
  • Highly organized with a focus on driving results against goals.
