The Citrix Virtual Application Delivery Engineer role at Warner Bros. Discovery is a pivotal position within the Virtual Application Development (VAD) Team. This team is dedicated to providing comprehensive global Citrix solutions across the organization, ensuring that the infrastructure supporting our applications is robust and efficient. The Citrix VAD Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Citrix environment, along with any associated applications that are critical to our operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our virtual application delivery is seamless and meets the high standards expected by our users. In this role, the engineer will engage in a variety of tasks that include resolving break/fix incidents, implementing and deploying gold image updates, and adding or updating applications hosted on the Citrix platform. A significant portion of the role, approximately 45%, will be dedicated to enhancing and upgrading the Citrix platform to ensure it remains current with technological advancements and user needs. Participation in team projects and departmental meetings is also a key accountability, allowing for collaboration and sharing of insights among team members. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for writing and updating documentation and support plans, which are crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and knowledge sharing within the team. The Citrix VAD Engineer will work closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure that the Citrix environment is optimized for performance and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement, as the engineer will be expected to identify areas for enhancement within the Citrix infrastructure and implement solutions accordingly.
