About the position

Oppizi is seeking a dynamic and motivated City Manager to oversee our offline marketing operations in Chicago. As a key member of our Ops Team, you will be responsible for managing the distribution of flyers in downtown Chicago and potentially in surrounding regions. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about operations and eager to contribute to the success of our marketing campaigns. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where your leadership and organizational skills will be crucial in ensuring that our Brand Ambassadors perform to the highest standards. In this position, you will spend approximately 85-90% of your time on-site, managing a team of Brand Ambassadors. Your responsibilities will include drafting weekly rosters based on data analysis to determine the best locations for flyer distribution, analyzing distribution data using Excel or Google Spreadsheets, and continuously mapping the city to identify optimal flyering spots. You will also be responsible for inventory management, ensuring that all campaign materials such as flyers and uniforms are tracked and available for use. As a City Manager, you will report daily to our dedicated Ops team, confirming Brand Ambassadors' schedules and making on-site decisions to enhance campaign effectiveness. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a mix of remote work and on-site management, making it essential for you to be adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage distribution of flyers operations in downtown Chicago and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure Brand Ambassadors are performing to standards and provide support for performance improvement.
  • Draft weekly rosters for Brand Ambassadors based on location analysis.
  • Analyze distribution data using Excel/Google Spreadsheet to optimize team deployment.
  • Map the city to identify the best locations for flyer distribution.
  • Manage inventory of campaign materials including flyers and uniforms.
  • Report daily to the Ops team and confirm Brand Ambassadors' schedules as needed.
  • Make on-site decisions to ensure operations run smoothly.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an operations job role, with on-site management experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Chicago, having lived there for at least 6 years.
  • A car is required for transportation.
  • Strong experience in Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
  • Good communication skills and team management experience.
  • A functional phone with good battery life for app usage.
  • A laptop for training, meetings, and planning sessions.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal and external teams.
