About the position

Oppizi is seeking a dynamic and motivated City Manager to oversee our offline marketing campaigns in San Diego. As the first major multi-channel player in offline performance marketing, we specialize in tracking, scaling, and optimizing flyering campaigns across various channels, including hand-to-hand distribution, door-to-door delivery, and direct mail. Our operations span over 10 countries, and we are proud to partner with leading brands such as UberEats, DoorDash, and Deliveroo. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the distribution of flyers in downtown San Diego and potentially in surrounding regions. The City Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that our team of Brand Ambassadors meets performance standards while providing the necessary support to enhance their effectiveness. Approximately 85-90% of your time will be dedicated to onsite management, which includes drafting weekly rosters, analyzing distribution data, and mapping the city to identify optimal flyering locations. You will also be tasked with inventory management, ensuring that all campaign materials are accounted for and that operations run smoothly according to our standards. This position requires a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities that include remote work, on-site management, and live team monitoring during campaigns. Responsibilities

  • Manage the distribution of flyers operations in downtown San Diego and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure that the team of Brand Ambassadors performs up to standards and provide support for performance improvement.
  • Draft weekly rosters for Brand Ambassadors based on location analysis.
  • Analyze distribution data using Excel/Google Spreadsheet to determine effective team deployment.
  • Map the city to identify optimal locations for flyering distribution.
  • Manage inventory of campaign materials such as flyers, uniforms, and briefs.
  • Report daily to the Ops team and confirm Brand Ambassadors as needed.
  • Make onsite decisions to ensure operations run smoothly.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an operations role, with on-site management experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of San Diego, having lived there for at least 6 years.
  • A car is required for transportation.
  • Strong experience in Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
  • Good communication skills and team management abilities.
  • A functional phone with good battery stamina for app usage.
  • A laptop for training, meetings, and planning sessions.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal and external teams.
