About the position

Oppizi is seeking a dynamic and motivated City Manager to oversee our offline marketing operations in Washington D.C. This role is pivotal in managing the distribution of flyers and ensuring the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. As a City Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Brand Ambassadors, ensuring they meet performance standards, and providing the necessary support to enhance their effectiveness. Your role will involve a significant amount of onsite management, with approximately 85-90% of your time dedicated to this aspect. You will also be tasked with planning resources, analyzing distribution data, and mapping the city to identify optimal locations for flyer distribution. Additionally, you will manage inventory related to campaign materials and ensure that operations run smoothly according to our standards. This position requires a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities that include remote work, on-site management, and live monitoring of team activities during campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the distribution of flyers operations in downtown Washington D.C. and surrounding suburbs.
  • Ensure that the team of Brand Ambassadors performs up to standards and provide support for performance improvement.
  • Draft weekly rosters for Brand Ambassadors based on location analysis.
  • Analyze distribution data using Excel/Google Spreadsheet to determine effective team deployment.
  • Map the city to identify the best locations for flyer distribution.
  • Keep track of campaign materials such as flyers, uniforms, and briefs using the Oppizi platform.
  • Report daily to the Ops team and confirm Brand Ambassadors as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an operations job role, with on-site management experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Washington D.C., having lived there for at least 6 years.
  • A car is required for the role.
  • Strong experience in Excel or Google Spreadsheets is necessary.
  • Good communication skills and team management experience are essential.
  • A functional phone with good battery stamina for app usage is required.
  • A laptop for use in training, weekly meetings, and planning sessions is necessary.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal and external teams.
