About the position

The Citywide Survey Data Analyst I position at the Detroit Land Bank Authority is focused on supporting the Inventory department through data analysis and management. The role involves updating critical data, generating reports, conducting data audits, and assisting in decision-making processes to enhance community development and housing investment in Detroit neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and data management support for activities of the Inventory department and across the DLBA organization.
  • Extract, load, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources.
  • Assist management in driving business decisions based on data.
  • Ensure data integrity by performing data quality audits and analysis.
  • Identify issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management.
  • Develop regular reports and deliverables for management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members.
  • Train employees in new processes and/or assist with the operation and maintenance of new processes.
  • Assist with technology and data issues.
  • Comply with all state, federal, and company guidelines, rules and regulations.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, Statistics, Urban Planning/Studies or another technical major, or equivalent demonstrated analytical and technical ability.
  • 1-3 years of professional or academic experience in Data Management or Data Analysis.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong system and data analysis background.
  • Some knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software preferred.
  • Some knowledge of Geographic Information Systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with land records and real estate transaction processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of Detroit communities and respect for diverse cultures/lifestyles.
  • Proven track record of working in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g. a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and Adobe version 10 or greater.

Nice-to-haves
