About the position

The CAD Designer position at a Boulder firm involves providing drafting services for civil design projects, focusing on quality and collaboration with both public and private sector clients. The role requires expertise in Civil 3D to prepare detailed engineering drawings and support engineers in various project-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide drafting services for site/civil design projects.
• Prepare plans, profiles, and detail drawings using Civil 3D.
• Operate CADD work stations, plotters, printers, and other associated equipment.
• Develop construction documents showing topographical contours, elevations, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Support engineers in the preparation of engineering reports, cost estimates, specifications, and construction schedules.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Drafting/CADD or equivalent from a Technical Institution.
• 5-10 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preparing plans, profiles, and details.
• Working knowledge of surfaces, alignments, corridors, pipe networks, and grading.
• Detail-oriented with a desire to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work well under pressure and possess good communication skills.
