About the position

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Analyst to support project teams in the production of contract documents and provide consulting services related to the design, construction, and repair of infrastructure projects. This role involves working on various civil engineering projects for both public and private clients, including roads, bridges, wastewater, and water systems. The Civil Analyst will apply engineering solutions and technical knowledge to deliver projects within budget and schedule constraints, while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
  • Plan, assign and supervise work assignments.
  • Review reports and plans prepared within the office.
  • Coordinate and manage field survey tasks and personnel.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on projects.
  • Plan, organize, and execute evaluations and investigations.
  • Engage with clients, managers, and team members to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate with local and nationwide teams for project delivery.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and non-billable planning sessions.
  • Work with the engineering team on the production of design drawings.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Provide cost estimates and budget projections for technical proposals.
  • Write and review/approve reports and specifications and make presentations.
  • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
  • Develop and apply advanced engineering solutions to complex problems.
  • Perform independent research and analysis for significant engineering projects.
  • Conduct field studies and surveys to collect technical data.
  • Contribute to company standard detail and specification development and updates.
  • Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
  • Willingness to travel to construction site locations is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in civil engineering, construction engineering technology, or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Adobe, Microsoft, Hydraulic Modeling, and other Civil design software.
  • Prior experience in a consulting position.
  • Demonstrated collaborative work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with advanced math and project design.
  • Fluency in surveying and site design.
  • Fluency in sediment control, erosion control, sanitary sewer management, and general consulting.
  • Strict attention to detail and ability to produce cost estimates and planning documents.
