About the position

The Civil and/or Structural Project Engineer will oversee and contribute to various large-scale and smaller capital projects in Colorado, focusing on civil engineering expertise. This role involves evaluating project drawings, handling requests for information (RFIs), and providing support throughout different project phases, including planning, procurement, and construction. The position is hybrid, allowing for flexibility between office and fieldwork, and requires travel to project sites in metro Denver and Pueblo.

Responsibilities

• Support a multifunctional group including various internal business units and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with facility operations and internal departments on land-use matters for projects involving land development.
• Coordinate with environmental teams to ensure regulatory compliance due to environmental impacts of projects.
• Assist with obtaining local and state permits for large construction projects in collaboration with county and state agencies.
• Coordinate with federal agencies to ensure compliance with federal water permits for hydroelectric projects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with a PE (Professional Engineer) license is required.
• Utility/power industry experience with renewables or fossil fuel plants.
• Design experience along with field experience is necessary.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and troubleshooting abilities.
