About the position

The Civil and Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing and detailing various structures, ensuring compliance with US design codes and standards. This role involves working on both onshore and offshore projects, including foundations, buildings, and marine structures, while collaborating with project teams to deliver safe and effective engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design structures according to structural and technical specifications to ensure safety.
• Identify design requirements and prepare necessary design calculations using hand calculations and software such as STAADPro V8i or equivalent.
• Prepare layout plans and structural engineering details for draftsmen and designers.
• Prepare detailed scope of work, material take-offs, and cost estimates for construction documents.
• Participate in project walkthroughs and provide reports of findings.
• Resolve construction feedback and RFI related issues for issued deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with other disciplines to support project deliverables as per schedule.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to entry-level engineers and designers.
• Conduct site visits to collect inputs and prepare site visit reports.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques using US design codes and standards.
• Experience in designing and detailing process/non-process buildings, machine/equipment foundations, and tanks foundations.
• Experience with pile foundations, mat foundations, marine docks, and adequacy checks of existing structures.
• Experience in onshore and offshore structure analysis and design, including helideck structures and modular structures.
• Extensive experience using industry codes such as ASCE, ACI, AISC, and UBC.
• Experience in brownfield projects.
• Proficiency in software such as STAAD Pro, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, Risa 3D, STAAD Foundation Advance, Idea StatiCa, and Navisworks.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively within a project design team.
