About the position

Cannon Corp is seeking a Civil Associate Engineer in Water Resources to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. Since 1976, Cannon has been dedicated to providing innovative solutions in the energy sector, water resources, public infrastructure, and both commercial and residential development. Our work environment is characterized by a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and a fun, engaging atmosphere. San Luis Obispo, known for its beautiful central coast, temperate weather, scenic beaches, and proximity to wine country, offers a vibrant lifestyle with endless recreational opportunities. Your passion for applying knowledge, skills, and technology will be essential in delivering sustainable and elegant solutions to our clients' challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and preparing calculations, specifications, detailed design drawings, reports, and construction submittals. You will work closely with team members to understand project requirements and office procedures, manage less-complex projects from start to finish, and assist Project Managers in managing complex projects. Your contributions to a collaborative team environment will be vital, as will your ability to inform project managers of work progress and any issues that arise. You will lead by example, coaching less experienced colleagues and encouraging their professional growth.
