About the position
The Civil Case Manager Lead at The Jeffcoat Firm is responsible for supervising the Civil Case Manager team while managing their own caseload. This role involves ensuring efficient workflows, compliance with firm policies, and providing support to team members in handling complex cases. The position is critical in maintaining high standards of client service and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an individual caseload and job duties of the Civil Case Manager position.
- Document case actions and interact with clients to provide updates and assist with medical treatment.
- Educate clients on the personal injury process while reviewing evidence and medical records.
- Draft demands and handle lien negotiations in collaboration with firm staff.
- Ensure team compliance with firm policies, procedures, and case deadlines.
- Act as a liaison between the Civil Case Manager team and management, communicating updates and addressing concerns.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to management regarding team performance.
- Audit team members' timecards for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Approve and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate team coverage.
- Support team members in managing complex or high-priority cases.
- Attend required morning and monthly meetings.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a Case Manager or Paralegal.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in case management software (e.g., Litify) and Microsoft Office Suite.
