About the position
The Construction Project Analyst/APM will serve as the lead project manager for a newly constructed replacement hospital in Amarillo, Texas. This role involves overseeing the design, construction, and completion of the project, ensuring effective communication and coordination among various stakeholders, including agency staff and contractors. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to guide teams through all phases of the project, from planning to occupancy.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and approve schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving project goals and completion schedules.
- Develop, review, and approve project budgets and change orders, directing evaluation activities related to project completion.
- Act as Owner's Representative for the development of assigned new hospital projects, establishing goals and objectives throughout all phases.
- Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate policies and procedures during the project's progression from planning to occupancy.
- Schedule and attend regular project meetings with all involved parties, maintaining accurate project documentation.
Requirements
- Knowledge of commercial construction principles, techniques, materials, and procedures.
- Ability to understand and apply construction contracting requirements.
- Knowledge of basic project management practices applicable to complex projects.
- Ability to understand and apply critical codes/regulatory requirements, including Life Safety Code and Texas Accessibility Standards.
- Skills in establishing plans and setting objectives that support project management and overall business strategy.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
- Experience in healthcare construction projects.
