About the position

The Civil Design Engineer position at our well-established and growing Engineering and Land Planning firm is a critical role within our engineering land development team. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering design and leadership for various land development projects throughout the region. This role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and the ability to apply them effectively in real-world scenarios. You will prepare comprehensive site Land Development plans, which include paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, along with other engineering software, is essential for success in this position. We are looking for a candidate who is not only technically skilled but also possesses the ability to collaborate with team members and clients to achieve project objectives. Responsibilities

  • Prepare site Land Development plans including paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D software for engineering design tasks.
  • Provide engineering design and leadership for land development projects throughout the region.
  • Conduct zoning and permitting research as part of project planning.
  • Design utility systems and manage storm water management systems.

Requirements

  • B.S or M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT)
  • 3+ years of demonstrated engineering design experience in Land Development Projects
  • Experience in utility design and site grading
  • Knowledge of storm water management systems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
