About the position

The Civil Design Engineer position in Tampa is focused on delivering high-quality engineering design solutions with an emphasis on roadway and traffic engineering. The role requires a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while collaborating within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize industry-standard design software such as Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Produce drawings and details using AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup as needed.
• Conduct structural analysis and design using software like STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, Revit, Bluebeam and other related tools.
• Analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
• Present technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in roadway engineering.
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines.
• Foster a positive work environment and contribute to team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical).
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred; will consider candidates with EIT.
• Proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Sketchup.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, Revit, Bluebeam etc.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, roadway design standards, and traffic engineering principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to personal and team development.
