About the position

The Storm Water Design Engineer will be responsible for conducting comprehensive site investigations and due diligence, including ordinance reviews and utility service research. The role focuses on designing storm water management and conveyance systems using hydrology design software, and requires extensive use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site investigations and due diligence including ordinance reviews and utility service research.
• Design storm water management and conveyance systems using hydrology design software.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for the design of civil infrastructure including site planning, roads, drainage, grading, and earthworks.
• Perform hydraulic/hydrology modeling using software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and SWMM.
• Develop reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and construction submittal reviews.

Requirements

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Development Software.
• Experience in the design of civil infrastructure.
• Experience with hydraulic/hydrology modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM.
• Ability to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and watershed modeling using modeling software.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Data center, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of civil, land development, site development, and storm water design.
