About the position

The Civil Design Engineer position at Central Missouri Professional Services, Inc. (CMPS) involves working on a variety of civil engineering projects, including residential and commercial land development, infrastructure, and utilities. The role requires a well-rounded industry experience and proficiency in design software to develop detailed site plans and manage projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed site plans, designs, and specifications.
• Research and provide project estimates.
• Manage projects and oversee project specifications for bidding.
• Prepare quantity and construction cost estimates.
• Maintain confidentiality with clients and other professionals.
• Ensure compliance with city, county, and state rules and regulations pertaining to civil construction projects.
• Prepare drainage studies and stormwater BMPs.
• Assist with FEMA elevation certificates and LOMA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in civil/site development, including sanitary sewers, storm water, site planning, grading, utilities, and permitting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D design software and Civil Storm.
• Knowledge of HEC-RAS and ArcGIS software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of city, county, and state regulations related to civil construction.
