About the position

The Civil Design Engineer at EnSafe will lead engineering and design efforts for various civil projects, including site civil, stormwater drainage, industrial wastewater, and utility design. This role emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and professional growth within a supportive environment. The engineer will also engage in marketing and project management activities, ensuring a comprehensive approach to client involvement and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Leading the engineering and design effort for site civil, stormwater drainage, industrial wastewater, and utility design projects.
• Managing projects that include civil design, solid waste management/landfill design, impoundments, and roadway plans and profiles.
• Problem-solving across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentoring junior-level staff and providing direction to design teams.
• Participating in and coordinating various design and construction meetings with clients and subcontractors, including pre-bid meetings.
• Planning, scheduling, and conducting detailed phases of design work.
• Supporting marketing and sales efforts, project management, and client project involvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Master's preferred).
• A minimum of 7 years of civil design experience, preferably with an engineering consulting firm.
• Current PE in the respective state or the ability to obtain a PE license.
• Previous experience with civil engineering design capabilities with both municipal and industrial clients.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in group management and mentoring.
