About the position

The Civil Design Engineer will lead design tasks for various infrastructure projects in the Fort Wayne, IN office. This role emphasizes personal and professional development, offering opportunities for training and project management experience. Responsibilities

• Lead project design calculations, reports, planning preparation, and roadway modeling.
• Assist office leadership in the preparation of proposal documents and preliminary project evaluations.
• Develop a peer network with staff at other firms and public agencies to enhance personal and firm relationships during project coordination efforts.
• Coordinate project tasks and report to project manager and supervisory staff to assist in budget, schedule, and project status tracking.
• Support Indianapolis and regional offices on a variety of infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation design engineering or water/wastewater design engineering.
• Registered Engineering in Training (EIT) aiming to become a Professional Engineer (PE).
• Technical knowledge and computer skills, including ACAD Civil 3D, MicroStation Bentley Open Roads Designer, and drainage software such as StormCAD.
