About the position
The Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for designing land development projects in Maryland, specifically in Prince George's, Montgomery, and Howard Counties. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to create design concepts and plans for various infrastructure projects, including site layouts, water and sewer mains, and floodplain studies. The engineer will also collaborate with team members and management to achieve departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Design land development projects in Prince George's, Montgomery, and Howard Counties.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop design concepts and plans.
- Create site layout, water, sewer mains, and grading plans.
- Conduct floodplain studies and develop soil erosion and sedimentation control plans.
- Assist team members and management to accomplish department goals.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in land development/stormwater design projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Knowledge of Montgomery County permits.
- Willingness to visit client sites.
- Ability to engage in project management.
