About the position

System One is currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer for a 6-month contract position at a nuclear plant located in Columbia, AL. The role requires a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in standard design processes as outlined in IP-ENG-001. The ideal candidate will have experience in generating design inputs, conducting design verification, and preparing calculations, with a specific focus on structural design. This includes the ability to evaluate support loadings, beams, welds, and anchors. The position involves walkdowns to generate design inputs and verify designs, ensuring that all calculations and preparations meet the necessary standards and requirements for the nuclear facility. The contract duration is set for 6 months, and the position offers a daily pay rate of $125, along with mob/demob expenses covered.

Responsibilities

• Generate design inputs for civil engineering projects.
