About the position

The Civil Design Engineer position at a reputable engineering and land planning firm in Charleston involves providing engineering design and leadership for private land development projects. The role emphasizes a flexible hybrid work schedule and a commitment to exceeding client expectations through high-quality project management and design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site civil development plans including site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software for project design and management.
• Conduct zoning and permitting research to ensure compliance with local regulations.

Requirements

• E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) or P.E. (Professional Engineer) certification is strongly encouraged.
• Experience in engineering design of land development projects.
• Proficiency in utility design and site grading.
• Knowledge of storm water management systems.
