About the position

DEA's Salt Lake City office is seeking an experienced Civil Designer/Drafter to support the Land Development Business Unit. The role involves producing drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations for various land development projects, requiring proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The position may also involve supporting transportation projects using Microstation.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations related to land development projects.
• Provide design, drafting, and plan production services for civil engineering projects such as commercial, residential, mixed-use, public works, utilities, and drainage.
• Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from engineering notes, sketches, and other drawings, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers to develop designs and construction documents, ensuring coordination of design efforts.
• Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, files, and project-related information in a logical manner.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Drafting, Civil Technology, or a related area of study.
• 4+ years of experience performing CAD drafting and design on land development projects.
• Proficient with Civil 3D and Land Development Desktop (LDD).
• Proficiency with Microstation/InRoads is a plus, but not a requirement.

Nice-to-haves

• Willingness to learn Microstation if not already proficient.
