About the position

The Civil Designer is responsible for creating detailed design plans and specifications for various civil engineering projects. This role involves collaboration with engineers and other professionals to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion while adhering to relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed site plans and designs for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to create accurate design drawings and documentation.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluations to inform design decisions.
• Prepare utility layouts, stormwater management plans, and grading plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of permits and other regulatory documents as needed.
• Participate in public meetings and presentations regarding project designs.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of experience as a Civil Designer or related role.
• Background in Site Layout, Land Use Permitting, and Land Development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation software.
• Knowledge of utility design, stormwater management, grading, and drainage systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
