About the position

The Engineer, Airports position at AVCON involves participating in the planning and design of airport infrastructure, including stormwater management, pavement evaluations, and utility system design. The role requires collaboration with a design team to produce engineering reports, construction plans, and project specifications while ensuring compliance with various permitting requirements. The engineer will also provide oversight during construction and assist in project management tasks such as budgeting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various design elements to complete projects with clear objectives.
• Prepare complete project documentation including plans, specifications, and engineer estimates.
• Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques and procedures for project assignments.
• Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work on multiple projects.
• Assist in the preparation of project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.
• Contribute to proposals including bid documents and project reports.
• Receive direction on key objectives and guidance on complex programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0-2 years' experience in Aviation, Transportation, or Site Development preferred.
• Construction administration experience is desired.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
