About the position
The Civil Engineer CAD Technician position is a full-time role based in Chattanooga, TN, responsible for providing CAD support to Residential and Commercial Engineers. The technician will play a crucial role in site design and the preparation of construction plans, collaborating with various professionals to assist clients in developing public, private, and mixed-use projects.
Responsibilities
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed drawings of residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects, and maintain organization
- Collaborate with Civil Engineers and Project Managers to meet deadlines
- Assure all requirements are met on project documents
- Additional related duties as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience preparing civil site plans
- Ability to work with deadlines in a team environment
- Strength in multi-department coordination
- Proficient written and verbal communication related to projects
- Associate Degree in CAD Drafting, CAD Certification, or similar education preferred
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- 1-4+ years of related work experience
