About the position
The Civil Engineer CAD Technician is responsible for providing CAD support to Residential and Commercial Engineers, playing a crucial role in site design and the preparation of construction plans. This position involves collaboration with various professionals, including other CAD technicians, civil engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors, to assist clients in developing public, private, and mixed-use projects.
Responsibilities
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed drawings of residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects, and maintain organization
- Collaborate with Civil Engineers and Project Managers to meet deadlines
- Assure all requirements are met on project documents
- Additional related duties as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience preparing civil site plans
- Ability to work with deadlines in a team environment
- Strength in multi-department coordination
- Proficient written and verbal communication related to projects
- Associate Degree in CAD Drafting, CAD Certification, or similar education preferred
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- 1-4+ years of related work experience
