The Civil Engineer / Project Engineer role is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional to manage and deliver a variety of land development projects, including residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities

  • Undertake detailed designs and manage a range of civil engineering projects including residential and commercial land development, highway design, and earthwork quantity takeoffs.
  • Utilize advanced design software including Civil 3D and AutoCAD to create and modify 3D designs for civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and design statements, explaining project details to stakeholders and clients.
  • Manage project resources and coordinate with various teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals on project design and implementation.
  • Provide technical advice to project team members and mentor junior engineers.
  • Ensure all project work is carried out in line with company procedures and adheres to professional and quality standards.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in land development and highway design.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Proven experience in managing residential and commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of earthwork quantity takeoffs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A strong commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with industry advancements.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
