About the position

The Civil Engineer - Designer - Engineer in Training - Water/Wastewater position at Thomas & Hutton involves working within the Water/Wastewater Department to prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documents. The role requires proficiency in water and sewer utility design, drainage, and erosion control, with a focus on client service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings using Civil 3D software.
• Develop technical specifications and cost estimates for projects.
• Create permitting documents for water and sewer projects.
• Conduct WaterCAD modeling for utility design.
• Collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
• 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD-based design skills.
• Experience in designing municipal water and sewer systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and WaterCAD software applications.

Nice-to-haves
