About The Position

The Civil Engineer - Drainage position in Louisville, Kentucky involves developing drainage design approaches and managing the development of drainage designs associated with task work orders. This role focuses on resolving historical flooding issues, municipal general civil projects, and roadway improvement projects. The engineer will provide design on projects that include stormwater management, floodplain analysis and compensation, stormwater conveyance, bridge hydraulics and scour evaluations, watershed modeling (1D & 2D), and environmental permitting. Additionally, the engineer will develop drainage design documentation reports and technical memorandums, act as the primary drainage engineer for municipal and various DOT projects, and provide guidance and technical oversight to engineering interns and CADD technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil or environmental engineering program
• PE registration in the State of Kentucky, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
• 5+ years of related drainage design experience
• Proven project capture and delivery with strong interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; any experience with ORD Drainage, C3D drainage, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY8, ArcGIS is a plus
• Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
