About the position

We are a civil engineering firm specializing in private land development and land surveying, currently seeking a Professional Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Blue Springs, Missouri. The typical projects you will be involved in include suburban commercial site plans and residential subdivisions across Missouri and surrounding states. As a Professional Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of civil and site design in both urban and rural environments. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust Project Specific Design Criteria for major civil and site projects. Your experience with the Municipalities approval process, including interactions with City Staff Review, Planning & Zoning Commissions, City Councils, IDOT, IDNR, and County Supervisory Boards, will be invaluable in ensuring the success of our projects. Our projects range from wellness centers and office buildings to medical facilities and K-12 educational institutions. Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil and site design for various projects in urban and rural environments.
  • Develop and implement Project Specific Design Criteria for major civil/site projects.
  • Navigate the Municipalities approval process, including City Staff Review and Planning & Zoning Commissions.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure project requirements are met on time and within budget.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT or PE License (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
  • Experience in preparation of civil and site design in urban or rural environments.
  • Experience with Municipalities approval process.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with wellness centers, office buildings, and medical buildings.
  • Familiarity with K-12 educational projects.
