About the position
Kimley-Horn's Mesa, Arizona office is seeking a Civil Engineer with over 4 years of experience to join their Energy team. This role involves working on various projects related to pipeline design, solar site design, natural gas metering and regulation stations, and control design and integration. The position requires collaboration with a team of engineers and designers, focusing on building professional relationships and ensuring project success through effective monitoring of progress, budgets, and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Work on pipeline design, solar site design, and natural gas metering and regulation stations.
- Assist in control design and integration.
- Conduct project due diligence and assess site constraints.
- Manage jurisdictional permitting and agency coordination.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Experience within the Energy discipline, including design and permitting.
- Familiarity with applicable software applications.
- Experience with task management and concept design.
- Ability to coordinate with clients and oversee quality standards.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in building plan sets and construction documents.
- Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence, and permitting.
