Successful candidates will be leaders, managers, mentors, creators, and team-builders. We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering within the EPC sector, particularly with a focus on solar energy projects. This role involves overseeing the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering aspects of solar projects, including shading analysis and wetland management, to ensure successful and timely project completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering designs and plans for solar energy projects, including site grading, drainage, structural foundations, and shading analysis to optimize solar panel performance.
• Conduct shading studies to evaluate and mitigate potential shading impacts on solar panels from nearby structures, vegetation, or other obstacles.
• Assess and manage wetland areas within project sites to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and minimize impact on local ecosystems.
• Oversee and coordinate civil engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning to final construction and commissioning.
• Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability of land for solar installations, including geotechnical investigations and environmental impact assessments.
• Ensure all civil engineering work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of engineering practice are adhered to.
• Identify potential risks related to shading and wetlands and develop mitigation strategies to address any issues that may arise during the project.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, including any deviations from the plan and proposed solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on EPC solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices, with specific expertise in shading analysis and wetlands management.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Experience with site assessment, geotechnical analysis, and environmental impact studies.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Malta, NY Monday-Friday.
• Unrestricted work authorization for the US and high written and verbal English proficiency.
