Tactica Management Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in the Huntsville, Alabama area. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office presence, with an expectation of approximately 25% travel to various military installations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and planning production for a wide variety of civil engineering projects. This includes site layouts, planning, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and other associated civil engineering activities. A strong understanding of Federal and Military design guidelines is essential for this role. In this position, the Civil Engineer will perform quantity calculations and some cost estimating, prepare specifications and contract documents, and handle complex assignments that require sound judgment in the evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures. The role may also involve making significant design and engineering decisions as needed. While project management is not the primary focus, the engineer may function as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as required. Additionally, oversight of the work of other professionals and technicians may be necessary, along with performing other duties as needed to support the team and projects.
