Bowman is seeking a Civil Engineer I to join their team in Suwanee, GA. This entry-level position involves evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques on moderately complex projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with senior engineers and clients, focusing on civil design for land/site development, and requires a commitment to quality and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution and direction on difficult assignments.
• Work with senior engineers, clients, and subcontractors on engineering project issues.
• Conceptualize initial civil design approaches for large land/site development phases.
• Complete civil engineering work for assigned project phases.
• Assist in developing plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform design work and calculations using computer-aided software.
• Provide technical assistance in resolving design problems, including field investigations and inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline required at time of employment.
• EIT preferred.
• Entry-level position; experience in civil engineering is a plus, especially in land/site development.
• Familiarity with civil engineering design software such as Civil3D in a professional or academic setting.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, and other relevant software preferred.
• Experience with Storm Drain Modeling and Rational Method Hydrologic Calculations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with large- and small-scale drainage and BMP design.
• Familiarity with HEC-RAS modeling and CLOMR/LOMR applications.
• Experience researching zoning and development standards.
