About the position

Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team in the Moon Township, PA office. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of planning, design, and plan preparation for a variety of land development projects, including civil design of roadways, sewers, utilities, and water and storm drain improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Site Civil / Land Development Project Engineer for various land development projects.
• Conduct civil design of roadways, sewers, utilities, and water and storm drain improvement plans.
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations for projects.
• Prepare rough and precise grading plans, including cost estimates and specifications.
• Prepare moderately complex studies, construction documents, maps, and reports to support civil design.
• Assist in defining the scope of work and man-hour initiatives.
• Prepare documents for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 4-6 years of related experience in civil engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to prepare quantities, cost estimates, and project-specific specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Goal-oriented and quality-focused.
